Marley's Hope

We are a not for profit all breed dog rescue. We will help dogs in Halifax or around the world. We want to support our other local rescues and collaborate with all partners. Marley's Hope is a big dream with a small start. We want to help dogs that are all sizes and and all breeds get a second chance, or just a bit more time in a loving home. To help them heal and to help them find homes where they will forever be given the opportunity to be great dogs and love their people. If you are interested in fostering or adopting, please feel free to contact us. If you are interested in helping, please contact- together we can give Hope to all dogs that need us.

Hello from Keija!

I'm a sweet older gal. About 7 years old looking for a family of my own. I absolutely love people. Everywhere I go, folks remark how sweet I am. I am a mastiff mix.

I lived with foster cats and don't really notice them. Though I do notice dogs on walk and pull quite a bit to get there. I have met a few through the fence and was sweet but on walks I am not so sure. I lived with a small sized dog in my foster home and love them. I am not the biggest fan of other large male dogs.

I didn't have a lot of exposure to the outside world before so now I want to be everywhere my people go. I can be alone for a few hours but after that I like to call them back home. If you have a home where people are around more than not (3-4 hours alone or so), I'd like to come home with you

I love my crate it is my happy place and I prefer to be in there when alone. I dont like sharing it, so no toddlers please who might wander in.

I need someone strong who will help me walk on leash and not react to other dogs. Confidence training to help me meet dogs on leash would help me a lot. I need to loose some weight so it will be so wonderful to get outside with you and try out some skills together.

Sadly I did injure my cruciate and so I cannot go for long walks. I am up to walking a total of 2km a day. I get around just fine now and even play and go up stairs, but I am not a candidate for surgery. I think my future family should know.

Www.Marleyshope.com is the place to sign up to bring me home. Please Do! I'm waiting for you.

Thank you to all who came out for our nail trim event. Twenty dogs got their nails trimmed today and helped raise $200 for Marley's Hope!

Specially a huge thank you goes to Cole Harbour Pet Valu for hosting us, the volunteer vet techs who come out every month to donate their time, and the volunteers who come to assist as well.

The next nail trim event will be held on June 17th from 1:00pm-3:00pm. As always 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Marley's Hope.

All pets welcome!

Thank you to former Marley's Hope dog Blu- his momma Lisa is donating 25% of her proceeds from the sale of her natural amber collars to help more dogs like Blu!

Collars are available around the city and are a natural alternative to chemical use to control ticks this year!

Thank you Lisa for your generosity!

Hi, my name is Toopy and I'm a 5 year old Boston terrier! I am a very smart & loving guy, house trained, I get along well with other dogs!

I'm an athletic and energetic guy who loves my walks, hikes, toys, playing fetch and of course my sleep, but once I get relaxed I am very laid back! I am a strong guy when it comes to toys so bully breed toys would probably last a lot longer for me.

I'm a bit of a snorer but I love crawling under the covers and snuggling with my human, and I absolutely love kisses and cuddles!

I love to show off my tricks and my foster mom says I'm a very quick learner (I just get so excited when I see my treats).

I have separation anxiety and constantly worry that I am going to be left, so I require a loving home where someone will be home often and will help me overcome my fear of being left alone. I am working on crate training for short periods of time but I'm happiest with someone's company.

I can also be a bit of a jumper when greeting my human but it's just because I missed you so much. I do have a bit of an obsession with food but I have not showed any aggression whatsoever. I can't wait to meet my forever family 😊
